The entry should be only done by the observer but is visible to all group participants.

Added. The TextSubmission component needs to check the user's role from the group activity context and only render for observers.

I need a way to stop a session so that it can be restarted later, in cases where we don't get through the entire activity.

Added as a feature request. Currently you can pause (temporary) or reset (loses progress) - this would need a "stop and save" that preserves state for a future class.
